Child Safety Standards
Prayer Circle's standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Our commitment
Prayer Circle is a community for prayer, Scripture and fellowship. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) has no place in it. We prohibit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and every other form of CSAE absolutely, and we enforce that prohibition against any account that violates it, without exception and without warning.
These standards apply to everything on Prayer Circle: prayers, feeds, groups, reels, stories, sermons, comments, profiles, direct messages and group chats.
What is prohibited
The following are banned on Prayer Circle and result in immediate removal and account termination:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — images, video, audio, drawings, computer-generated or AI-generated depictions.
- Sexualising a minor in any content, including text, captions or comments.
- Grooming: building a relationship with a minor to facilitate sexual abuse or exploitation, online or offline.
- Sextortion, or threatening to share a minor's intimate imagery.
- Soliciting, offering, trading or advertising CSAM or sexual contact with a minor.
- Trafficking of minors, or facilitating it.
- Any other conduct that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child.
How we prevent and detect it
- Age requirement. Prayer Circle is not intended for children under 13. Accounts we identify as belonging to a younger user are removed.
- Automated image screening. Images are screened on the device by a classifier before they can be uploaded. Content the classifier flags as explicit is blocked and never reaches our servers.
- User reporting. Every piece of content and every profile can be reported from inside the app. Reports of child endangerment are treated as our highest-priority queue.
- Blocking. Any member can block another member, cutting off contact immediately.
- Encrypted spaces. Direct messages and group chats are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read them. Any participant can report their contents to us, and a report carries the reported material with it so we can act on it.
How to report
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first. Then report to us so we can remove the content and terminate the account.
Inside the app. Open the menu on any prayer, post, reel, sermon, comment or profile and choose Report, then describe what you saw. Tell us plainly that a child is involved and we will escalate it immediately. You do not need to leave the app to report.
By email. Write to [email protected]. Include a link or username if you can. Please do not attach the material itself.
To the authorities. You can report CSAE directly to a hotline in your country, independently of us:

What we do when we receive a report
- We review reports of child endangerment ahead of all other reports.
- We remove violating content.
- We terminate the account permanently, and we act to prevent the account holder from returning.
- We preserve the relevant records where the law requires it, so that investigators can obtain them through proper legal process.
- We report apparent CSAM to the appropriate authority — the Internet Watch Foundation in the United Kingdom, the NCMEC CyberTipline in the United States, or the equivalent body in the relevant jurisdiction — and we cooperate with law enforcement.
